Sadly your anti-Israel sentiment clouds your judgement so much that you have in the post above announced 800 new settlements, as opposed to 800 new houses in settlements. I assume you are aware that this includes Jerusalem, which was annexed, and was, is, and always will be the holiest city to the Jews who gave the city it’s name. The ethnic cleansing of East-Jerusalem of Jews by Jordan post 1948 may have temporarily changed the characteristics of the city, but that travesty has thankfully been undone.

Sadly, your post is both legally and morally wrong. Legally since you have no country being occupied, the state that the self-described Palestinian’s hope for did not yet exist, and Egypt and Jorden who were the prior owners (or occupiers) of the land have relinquished all interest. Morally is an even simpler issue. historically it is the Jews who have been driven from their land, and the historic invaders now cry out at their return. As such, any non-private (i.e. state) land belongs morally to the original owners great-grandchidren. I do appreciate that the issue of land privately owned can be seen as more nuanced, but in the vast majority of cases the land in question has no private ownership, or on occasion actually belongs to the residents, lawfully bought by them both pre- and post 1948. Therefore, I must urge you to read up both history and current facts, as well as law before stating such unfortunate opinion.

Should be something that Avaaz would take up ? M .A. P. . are non political ,I think ,but they might like to be involved. It is an appallingly cynical move , as you say, in view of current restrictions on the movement of medical supplies to Gaza and something which could perhaps be used to highlight further the plight of familiea in Gaza?
